Cottage Rules & Regulations
- Cottages are maintained as smoke free environments. Our smoking guests must smoke outside. A fee will be charged if there is smoking in cottage.
- Cottages must be left in the manner at which they were found or a cleaning and/or damage deposit will be charged. Cleaning charge $100.00 will be billed to credit card.
- Our expectations are as follows:
- All food and garbage must be disposed of and brought in a green garbage bag to the bin at the back of the park.
- All personal items are to be taken with you or disposed of.
- All dishes are to be clean and put away.
- Cottage furniture is to be left in the way it was found.
Garbage/recycling:
- Please follow the City of Peterborough’s Blue Box Program sheet when recycling. Information copies are available in the office.
- Garbage cans are located outside the cottages. Please put small plastic bags inside big green garbage bags and take them to top of the park inside the dumpster beside the second entrance.
Toilets & Drains:
- Our park uses septic systems. Please do not dispose of anything down the drains other then single ply white toilet paper.
- WATER MUST NOT BE WASTED. Remember: Our water supply comes from a well. Please use water sparingly.
Alcohol & Drugs & firearms/fireworks:
- Provincial Laws require that all alcoholic beverages must be consumed inside cottage facilities, on deck, or immediately adjacent to the cottage. (No walking around the resort.)
- Illegal drug use of any type will not be tolerated and will result in termination of park use, with no refund, and/or police intervention.
- No firearms or fireworks are permitted in the park.
CAMPFIRES:
- Please be responsible with campfires or privileges will be revoked.
- Fires and their control are the responsibility of the camper.
- It is the responsibility of the camper to be aware of and follow the rules of a fire ban.
- Campfires must be extinguished by 1:00 AM. (Please respect your neighbor when sitting around the campfire at night. Quiet time is at 11:00pm.
Children & Visitors
- Cottage vacationers are responsible for the actions and safety of their children and visitors.
- All children under the age of 18 must be with a parent or under parental supervision after 11pm.
- Children must be supervised at all times when near the beach, playground, and water as these areas are unsupervised.
- All Visitors must be pre-approved by management and must register at office upon arrival.
- Visitors charge is $3.00 per day or $5.00 per night.
- Visitors are required to leave by 11pm or must be registered as overnight guests.
- No overnight visitors if cottage is at full capacity.
- Check out time for overnight visitors is 11:00am
Etiquette:
- No loud music at any time.
- Quiet time is 11:00pm to 8:00am
- Please respect your neighbor’s privacy.
- Any aggressive action toward another person or any violation of any federal, provincial or municipal laws by a camper or his/her guests will result in the immediate termination of the License of Occupation and/or weekly / overnight agreement.
Pets:
- $25 per pet, per stay. $50 pet deposit that will be refunded at the end of your stay or will be forfeited for any violation of these pet rules.
- Pets must be kept under control at all times.
- Pets are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash (including cats).
- Excessive barking will not be tolerated.
- Pets must not be left alone in the cottage unless the animal is crate trained.
- No pets permitted on beach or in recreation area. Dogs have a designated swimming area.
- Please clean up after your pet.
- Do not allow your pets on the beds, chairs, or sofa’s/couches
- Visitors are not permitted to bring overnight pets.
Swimming/fishing:
- All children under 18 years of age must be supervised near the beach, playground and water. These areas are unsupervised.
- Swimming is at an assumed risk of the individual or their guardians in the case of children. Lancaster Cottage and Trailer Resort, and or its agents, assume no liability for any accidents, however caused, in the resort area or in the water.
- No swimming in dock area and no diving off docks. (Water is too shallow)
- No fishing, skiing or boats in beach area.
- No fishing off reserved docks.
LOST, STOLEN OR DAMAGED PROPERTY:
- As per the License of Occupation, management cannot be responsible for property lost, stolen or damaged.
- Parents or guardians shall be responsible for the safety and any damage, however caused, by children or visitors.
- Management is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property, however caused.
Vehicles:
- Park speed limit of 10 km/hr will be strictly enforced. Please watch for children playing.
- Only one car permitted per cottage (2 cars for 3 bedroom and Lake Edge Home.) (Visitors must park in designated parking lot).
- No parking on roads, other sites, or anywhere that is not indicated as a parking space.
- No mini-bikes or motorcycles to be driven around park property. Vacationing motorcycles are permitted on an in/out basis.
- All boats, boat trailers, utility trailers, etc. must be parked in the designated area.
Washrooms, showers & Laundromat:
- If you choose to use our public facilities, please keep washroom, shower, and laundry room neat and tidy.
- Small children must be accompanied by an adult when in these areas.
- Please advise your children that these buildings are not play areas.
- Please show consideration for others who will use the facilities after you by leaving these areas neat and clean.
Additional Information:
- Check in Saturday 3pm – Check out Saturday 10am (unless pre-arranged with management).
- Garbage bin is located at the top of the park beside the second entrance.
- Safe drinking water. Tested daily
- Cards, books, board games and badminton sets are located inside Cottage 2 at the bottom of the office driveway.
- Horseshoes are located on the wall of the shed near the boat launch. Please play responsibly.
- Movie Rentals: $5.00 for the week. $2.00 returned to you when you bring movie back.
These rules are for your protection and holiday enjoyment.
Failure to comply with these rules will result in termination of park use, with no refund. |
